Salt and Pinch partner year after year to deliver Amazon Ads’ famed advertising-focused event. In 2022, unBoxed was the largest global strategic event the brand had hosted to date, held at five venues across New York City. New York’s Javits Center was transformed into a bold, immersive environment that brought the Amazon Ads ecosystem to life. At the forefront, Amazon Ads became the hub for tools, brands, insights, and talent—all wrapped up in a design that was colorful, dynamic, and thoughtfully executed. By using smart, controllable production approaches, we ensured the event design stood out within the vast convention center space, creating an unforgettable experience for attendees.

AMazon’s most highly anticipated flagship event

Hosting 2,800 guests across more than 300,000 square feet of activation space required a thoughtful design approach to make a large keynote, multiple breakout stages, a concert, executive programming, evening receptions, VIP happy hours, and a 60,000-square-foot Connection Hub with demos, sponsors, and affiliates feel innovative and cohesive.

The keynote included a 185-foot-wide, fabricated, dramatic stage with 30-foot-high fluted wood flowing walls. Our Connections Hub was a vibrant environment featuring Amazon’s hero product activations and demos, where every element was custom-fabricated from the carpet, walls, and freestanding structures to the flown color gradient treatment that surrounded the room.
